Wilson James employees improve efficiency and performance through ILM Training and Development
1. Introduction and question
Linda Mockford spoke with Peter McGowan, Director of Human Resources from Wilson James who has been responsible for organising the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) training for over 170 employees since 2010. Part of the programme is to develop Problem Solving / Cost saving projects as part of the ILM Level 3 Leadership and Management qualification.
2. Amazing results
Peter said that it has been quantified that a number of the projects written by the Managers on the course had given the company a real return on investment. As well as tangible cost savings the projects have also led to improved efficiency and effectiveness and ensures that the key performance indicators set by their clients are more consistently met.
Our employees feel more valued and committed to the organisation as a result of this development and are regularly promoted to more senior posts as a result of the qualifications achieved.
