Sneak Peak - Winning ways to Sell

Sneak Peak - Winning ways to Sell

This workbook is aimed at managers from any organisation who may have a responsibility or an interest in the marketing and selling within their business.  At the end of this workbook you should be able to:

  • Describe what marketing is and how it can help your business and organisation
  • Describe strategies that will encourage people to buy from you
  • Define what research requirements your organisation may have to aid decision making
  • Make decisions about marketing your product or service
  • Plan how to promote your business
  • Outline a Promotional Plan.

Marketing is not an exact science.  Most people begin with a list of questions they need answered.  Here are four typical questions from managers.

  • 1. What does marketing mean for our businesses? How might it be useful?
  • 2. How do I determine where my business or organisation, products or services are now, with my customers and in relation to similar businesses in the rest of the world?
  • 3. What's the best way to promote my product and service and how do I write advertisements and press releases as well as prepare for media coverage?
  • 4. How do I put this in a useful Plan?

We divided this book into five areas to tackle these questions:

  • Part 1: What is Marketing and how can it help your business or organisation?
  • Part 2: Detective Work, and making market intelligence work for you
  • Part 3: Promoting yourself, your products and your service
  • Part 4: Promotion for business on a small budget
  • Part 5: Finale - How to write a Promotional Plan

The last section is where you can reflect and review what you have learnt and create your own Action Plan for the future.
