04/10/2010

Local training company Academy of Learning were honoured to be invited to a lunch hosted by the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM) last week, in recognition of being one of the top centres for ILM qualification delivery in the Region.

Linda Mockford, M.D., was delighted to attend and has marked the event with the launch by Academy of Learning now being able to deliver more than 30 new titles through the Awarding Body, including leadership, management, team leading, coaching and mentoring equality and diversity.

In addition to this new suite of learning Academy are also celebrating the launch of a range of funded apprenticeship training programmes - however, these are apprenticeships with a difference - whilst the traditional 16 -18 year old apprenticeship is amongst the offer, this has now been widened to incorporate training for those people already in work who wish to upskill or re-skill in such roles as administration, customer service, team leading and management.

Linda Mockford says `this has been a time of great change for us, but we are delighted with the new offer, it provides much greater choice and some fantastic funded training opportunities to help to build skills of organisations in these challenging times'.

Next month Academy of Learning will be launching a competition for organisations to benefit from management training and qualifications for 6 of their staff FREE - if you would like to find out more please contact Sally Payne, 01279 877902, to pre-register your interest.
