Overview:   In The Certificate in Leadership & Management skills participants explore the nature of the middle management role, critically evaluate their own managerial ability, leadership styles within their organisation, the commitment and motivation of their teams and their own ability to motivate teams to meet organisational goals.

Training and Assessment Approach: Interactive training and supporting self study workbooks and tutor support.To achieve the qualification Work based assignments / Reflective reviews or projects will be set to test your learning and understanding to the required level.

Progression

Having successfully completed the Level 5 programme you could progress to the L5 Diploma in Management or Diploma in Leadership & Management, L6 Award in Management, L7 Qualifications in Strategic Leadership or Executive Management; Strategic Leadership and Executive Management.

New: This ILM Level 5 qualification allows for direct entry onto the BA Business & Enterprise one year top up degree through Napier University, Edinburgh. The degree is 120 credits and is composed of;

3 modules at 20 credits each (Creativity, Innovation & Enterprise, Business Processes & Business Growth Issues) 60 credits of Work Based Learning (WBL) All assessments on the programme are practical assignments eg. business reports, presentations, posters and case studies. In addition students have to create a portfolio for their WBL project which is built up monthly through the use of on-line technology.
