Procurement Apprentice

Required to work at Wilson James Ltd in Westcliff-on-Sea, Essex

Wilson James is a leading provider of safe, secure, customer-led solutions to more than 300 clients across the UK and Europe. We have been raising standards for 25 years across three core service lines; security, construction logistics and business services.

Job Role

  • Providing support for Operations staff in terms of obtaining quotations, advising prices and lead times and recommending suppliers for use
  • Using SAP to process requisitions, raise Purchase Orders and ensure ongoing open orders are managed within the parameters of the system
  • Production of management reports detailing spend by sector, category or item
  • Resolving issues and disputes with internal customers, other support functions and supply chain
  • To support other Procurement activities when required.

Working Week

42.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm

Business Admin Apprentice

Required to work in The British Veterinary Nursing Association Ltd based in Harlow Essex

Job Role

To provide accurate and efficient administrative support to the Operations Manager

  • Undertake front line telephone support
  • Support the administration staff with research and ongoing queries
  • Draft documents
  • Compose emails and deal with email queries
  • Scan and file letters that have been received
  • Collate and post membership packs
  • Process incoming post and distribute to staff
  • Ordering of stationery
  • Assist Operations Manager with accounting tasks
  • Deliver a customer focused service
  • Learn and develop skills around high quality customer service
  • Support marketing and social media
  • Support all aspects of the creation and distribution of leaflets
  • Support in event management and the booking process; exhibitors and delegates
  • Work towards a business administration QCF qualification
  • Take minutes for team and management meetings
  • Comply with the associations policies and procedures
  • Perform other tasks reasonably within your capability, as reasonably requested by the Operations Manager, from time to time

Working week

9am-5pm Monday - Thursday and 9am-4pm Friday

34 hours paid per week

With one day to be allowed for college attendance

Business Administration Apprentice, Witham Essex

Friendly family business that manufactures high quality bespoke kitchen, bedroom and bathroom furniture looking for an apprentice for their busy workshop. The role is to assist with the smooth and timely completion of all jobs to meet customer requirements.

Job role

We have a busy workshop with many jobs progressing through at any one time, the role is to assist with the smooth and timely completion of all production jobs to meet customer requirements. You will be speaking with suppliers, staff and customers to assist in the resolution of production issues and ensure jobs are completed on time.

Your duties will vary from day to day to help with all aspects of production and may include the following:-

  • Assisting with progress chasing suppliers and internal orders
  • Monitoring the progress of jobs
  • Assisting with resolving production issues
  • Answering incoming calls and logging call details accordingly/accurately
  • Faxes, scanning and copying as requested.
  • Sending and responding to email correspondence
  • General filing, scanning and archiving
  • Assisting with both incoming and outgoing postal duties
  • Assisting with the ordering of stationary and ad hoc consumables

Providing general administrative support to any member of the team as and when required.

Working week

Mon-Fri 8.30am-5pm, with half hour lunchbreak

Total hours per week: 40

£220.00

Business Administration Apprentice

Required to work in Absolute Interiors of Harlow we are a small but busy office working as a Premier Installer for Altro Whiterock Hygienic Wall cladding and vinyl safety flooring. We have been growing steadily over the past 5 years and would hope to offer the successful candidate fulltime employment on completion of the apprenticeship.

Your duties will include, but not limited to:

  • Support our small office team with administrative duties in general
  • Answer the phone
  • Get trained using our database system (SwiftAct)
  • Use the database to issue and email quotations
  • Track the quotation
  • Filing
  • Assist with the admin of our accreditations like CHAS and FORS 

Holiday Entitlement

20 days plus bank holidays 

Working week

Monday - Friday from 9am to 5pm = 40 hours per week

Hourly rate

£4.50 salary will be reviewed during the Apprenticeship at 6 months
